Bude Caravan Park
The accommodation is at Bude Caravan park, which is at…
BUDE HOLIDAY PARK, Maer lane, Bude, Cornwall, EX23 9EE
TEL: 0845 130 15 15 : FAX: 01288 355980 : www.budeholidaypark.co.uk
Each and every person will have a nice warm, comfortable place to sleep. The Caravans are well equipped with Fridges, Hobs and a Microwave, but only limited crockery.
This event would not be possible without the support of Bude Holiday Park. So there are a few simple rules.
Facepaint and Other damage: For this event the use of facepaint is NOT allowed. This is due to damages in excess of £2000 that was caused in previous years by facepaint that could not be removed.
Likewise we hope to return in future years so please treat the site with respect. You will be responsible for the van that you have been allocated to and any damages to that van will be charged to you. We hope this won't be necessary.
Camping: Camping is not available at Bude Holiday Park, there will therefore be no party only tickets and no tickets available on the door. All SWA and XSWA tickets include accommodation so there will be no need to camp.
Roadford Reservoir
The windsurfing will take place at Roadford Lake.
This is a 40 Minute drive from Bude. Directions will be provided, and SWA Road signs will be in place to direct you also.
Timetables for clinics, on water and off water tuition, demos and competition will be given to you and there will be plenty of things to remind you on the day.
Instructions for parking, kit pooling etc will be given to you at registraion. Presidents please organise your teams efficiently as delays in getting kit rigged and in the right place can slow down the whole schedule.
Safety There will be sign on and sign off procedures at the lake. For your own safety please follow these.
Beginners and intermediates who are not confidently using a harness will be required to wear bouyancy aids. There are a limited number available on site so we advise all unis to bring their own where possible.
Universities are advised to mark their kit to avoid confusion and personal kit is the responsibility of the owner.
PARTY!!!!
All tickets include entry to the Party on both nights. You will need your wristband to get into the party both nights. No wristband no entry...simples... No extra tickets will be available on the door either night
Fridays welcome party will be sponsored by REDCUPS.com with special offers and games on site. Presidents need to register their unis whilst everyone else gets their party on! Event t-shirts will be available at this time.
Saturday nights party will be the legendary AK fancy dress party. This years theme is 999 emergency. Fancy dress is most definitely advised. Everyone gets well involved and you will feel strange with out it. There will be live music and a DJ to keep you entertained.
Van parties are not encouraged and security will come round and empty the vans by 9.30pm. That's cool though cos the party will be in full swing by then and you'll want to be in the centre of it!
The SWA encourage responsible drinking. We want everyone to have as much fun as possible but we want it to be safe. People who are required to drive the next morning please take extra care.
XSWA
Caravans will be allocated to you on arrival and your wristband will be available for collection when you arrive on Friday evening. If you want to share a caravan with specific mates please email lisa@swa dotcodotuk with a list of names. Caravans are either 6 or 8 berth.
Your ticket entitles you to accommodation, breakfast, party entry both nights and all on land activites. Sailing at the lake is limited to SWA ticket holder only.
